Marissa and Blake are such a sweet couple, and they are just so adorable with each other – I had a wonderful time photographing their wedding. They live out of state, but have family in the Tampa Bay area, so they chose to get married at The Rusty Pelican in Tampa. Planning a wedding long distance can be tough, and Marissa had to rely big-time on the internet in her planning. I’m so glad she came across my website and chose to hire me! We corresponded almost entirely through email, until we finally met about two months before the wedding. Despite the long distance planning, this couple certainly pulled it off! Every single detail was well thought out and executed beautifully. Don at the Rusty Pelican made sure the day ran smoothly, while DJ Frank Lebano provided wonderful music for the ceremony, then kept the party in high gear throughout the night. Sandy at Gulfside Florist created elegant bouquets for all of the girls. The ceremony was performed by Marissa’s grandfather, Lloyd Noyes, which made it that much more sentimental.
Congratulations Marissa and Blake – may you be very happy together!
Marissa’s seven bridesmaids were so attentive and helpful while she was getting ready.

I loved how calm and content the bride was before the ceremony. She was so laid back – she even rolled with the punches and didn’t seem bothered that the hotel room’s AC went out on this VERY hot and humid Florida day.

LOVE the series of photos of Blake as he sees his bride for the first time. I’m so glad I turned around in time to capture his expression!

A gorgeous sunset, Rusty Pelican style…

These may officially be my new favorite first dance photos. I absolutely adore the shot of Blake and Marissa under the chandelier… they were just so into each other (I think they forgot about the 125 or so people that were watching them!). I also love the expression on Marissa’s dads face as he dances with his daughter, and I equally love the image of Blake dancing with his mom while Marissa watches in the background.
