Marisa & Nadim 03.13.10
Carlouel Yatch Club, Clearwater Beach | Clearwater Wedding Photographer

Marisa and Nadim’s wedding at the Carlouel Yatch Club on Clearwater Beach was a beautiful and emotional event. This wedding really had that “certain something”… the emotion during the day was so touching. Marisa and Nadim place such importance on their friends and family, as was obvious throughout the ceremony and reception. They had several friends speak during their ceremony, and Marisa’s sister and Nadim’s friends gave beautiful toasts… and the guys’ toast was by far the funniest toast I’ve ever heard!

These two make a wonderful couple, AND they know how to have a good time!

Special thanks to the Carlouel Yatch Club… not only is this a gorgeous venue, but the staff was amazing to work with!

E-Session: Kristen & Damian
Engagement Portraits – Clearwater, FL

Meet Kristen and Damian. This gorgeous couple is to be wed later this year in Asheville, NC. I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement session last weekend in downtown Clearwater. We started with some cool urban style portraits, then headed over to the beach for some sunset pics. Unfortunately it was so cold and windy that the beach portion wasn’t very fun, but these two were great about it!

Kristen and Damian, you are adorable – enjoy your sneak peek!

Michelle & Brandon – Ecuador Destination Wedding
Destination Wedding Photographer, Salinas, Ecuador

I was so honored to be invited to second shoot the wedding of Michelle and Brandon in beautiful Salinas, Ecuador. The entire experience was fantastic – Michelle and Brandon are wonderful people, and their friends and families were so welcoming. The food, culture and people of Ecuador were all so amazing. I can’t wait to return some day and spend more time.

Due to some delays, we didn’t arrive in Ecuador until about 7am the day of the rehearsal dinner (Saturday). Fortunately, I was able to get a few hours of sleep before heading back out to shoot. The rehearsal dinner was held at the hotel, The Barcelo Colon Miramar, and was a beautiful beachside affair.

The next day was the wedding, and what an event! Michelle and her girls started getting ready at 11:00am, and we were with them until about 2:00 the next morning! The gorgeous church was located on the ocean with beautiful cliffs nearby. One side was all stained glass, and the other side had large glass windows to showcase the view. As you’ll see, Michelle was a stunning bride, and her dress (and shoes!) are to die for. The gown weighed 15 pounds… Michelle actually had bruises on her shoulders the next day from wearing it!

Monday, the day after the wedding, we all took a bus trip to the surfing town of Montanita. It was such a cool experience – it was a few hours away, and we drove through very diverse areas of the country to get there. We had a great time while we were there… several members of the bridal party – and the bride – took surfing lessons, and we had fun photographing them!

I could go on and on, but I’ll be quiet and post the photos now!

These centerpieces were almost as tall as I am. Michelle’s aunt is an event planner in Ecuador and she coordinated everything – and it was over-the-top gorgeous down to every last detail.destination-wedding-photographer-10
