With the holiday season wrapping up, I finally have a moment to blog again! I wanted to share a few from this recent engagement session. Katie and Mike were a fun and sweet couple, and we walked around downtown in the C-O-L-D! Kati was such a good sport even though she was freezing. By the time we got to the beach, I was amazed that she was willing to stand out there in the insane wind in her short sleeves – but she was! We were literally the ONLY people at the beach, which I’ve never seen before. The sunset started out somewhat dull and I was concerned we wouldn’t get much, but all of a sudden it turned to this amazingly beautiful glowing orange like nothing I’ve ever seen. In fact, it was so gorgeous we spent a few extra minutes to capture it, and ended up getting locked IN the park by the ranger. And it was absolutely worth it!

I’m so very fortunate to be friends with this gorgeous family. We headed out to Philippe Park this weekend for a portrait session and I’m so happy with the results… Little “M” has a definite serious side, and I think we captured the best of both worlds… his serious side and also some beautiful smiles. Enjoy!
Last week my friend and fellow photographer, Julie, and I had the pleasure of doing a promo shoot for Amanda. Amanda is the gorgeous and talented owner of Adorn Studio (www.adornstudio.com). We went up to Wildwood to Julie’s parents’ farm, where we found some amazing photo opportunities. Despite the fact that we could’ve been electrified by the electric fence, mini horses stomped on my gear, and we almost got attacked by a wild hog, it was totally worth it!!! Amanda was up for anything, and I’m thrilled for that, because the resulting photos are exactly what we were all hoping to achieve!
Check out Amanda’s website at www.adornstudio.com to see how she can help you to plan and execute the most amazing wedding ever! Meet the “E” family… Mom, Dad, and beautiful four-month-old baby “M”. We met up last weekend at Fort DeSoto for some family portraits, and I had a blast. I had never shot at Fort DeSoto before, but what a great location! We were able to get tons of variety, and Miss M was a trooper. Of course, it certainly helped to have my wonderful friend Jen along to assist and help to get those gorgeous smiles from M.
Mom and Dad, enjoy your sneak peek. Your gallery will be live VERY soon!
Last week’s open house was a wonderful success! Thank you to all of our friends, clients and fellow vendors who came out to show your support and check out the new digs!
And now, the fun stuff. The winners of the door prizes are… drumroll please…
Christina McCarthy & Steve Gardner
Christina has won a one hour portrait session with Karen Harrison Photography, and Steve has won a Safety Harbor Sampler, which includes gift certificates from several amazing downtown Safety Harbor restaurants. YUM!
And since no post is complete without pics, here are a few from right before the open house started. I had planned to take photos during the evening, but I was having too much fun and decided to put the camera down and enjoy myself.
A special thank you goes out to The Bride’s Bouquet for providing us with the gorgeous floral centerpieces!
